Thanks for the posts, you have some helpful stuff in here– incidentally though, your ceiling method is definitely not recommended in a residential occupancy due to the lack of fire protection for upper floors- if a fire were to start in that room with no drywall or tile ceiling to offer some protection to the structural members, the fire will spread very quickly– properly taped drywall is the best fire protection…

Hi Amber,
I haven’t finished around the windows yet. When I get to it I’ll post the technique. I think I’m going to frame them with 1×10″ pine painted white. As far as the color of the walls it is Olympic Interior Latex paint in Egshell finish – color is “Cracker Bitz”
